Emerald IPTV Ireland was born from a simple frustration: why should Irish viewers pay €100+ per month for cable and satellite TV when there's a better way? We set out to create the ultimate Irish IPTV experience—affordable, reliable, and packed with content.
Back in 2014, our founder Ciarán sat down one weekend, ripped apart his cable contract, and built something better. Ciarán Ó'Brien
Founder & CEO
A Dublin-born software engineer and lifelong GAA fan, Ciarán got fed up paying over €100 a month for a cable bundle he used for three channels. In 2014 he built the first version of Emerald IPTV on a weekend, tested it on his own Firestick, and never looked back. Today he leads a small, fully remote Irish team dedicated to giving every household in Ireland—and every Irish expat abroad—the TV experience they deserve at a fair price.
